The "indie cello orchestra's" second album is a lovely if slightly precious collection of chamber pop built around the lush, sweeping melodies of the PCP. Thao and Justin are Thao Nguyen of Thao With the Get Down Stay Down and Portland singer-songwriter Justin Powers, both of whom possess the sort of eclectic sensibilities and tasteful singing voices to make a project like this work. While this set doesn't offer any of the PCP's wacky takes on pop hits (they've tackled Britney Spears and Salt-N-Peppa, among others, in the past), it's a quality illustration of what the distinctive ensemble has to offer.
