Manufacturer: Xirou Kleo
Diameter : 50 cm.
Kleo Χirou's frame-drums are constructed of cylinder turned beech wood.
The two-layered body is reinforced with a third narrower ring
bringing the bearing edge to 1.2 cm before beveling.
Three layers of penetrating varnish preserve and enhance
the wood's natural hue or a light or dark walnut stain.
Goatskins are tacked and glued or hand sewn onto the drum.
Optional are hand-made bronze cymbals or leather chords, which add the distinctive “noise” of the Epirus ntefi
the Macedonian ntahare or the North African bendir.
Kleo's signature anatomical grip guarantees a comfortable hold and
easy balance for all hand sizes and playing styles.
