Title:The Roses Of Pieria, Yiannis Glezos (Instrumental music inspired by Ancient Greek Lyric Poetry) Type: CD Label: Musea Code: 3260 Release date: 2013 A text by the composer: "In my songs is expressed my own wandering in Place and Time and the need for overcoming Greece, Tradition, Family, Love & Loneliness. In my songs there is my search for the ultimate Love and Freedom. I feel strongly that there is a tremendous need for social change, but in the same time I understand that this change must be initiated and passed primarily through us, through our own selves. Man must become a Person and then go even further by eliminating his individuality in the Ocean of Energy. In this course simultaneously he is changing drastically and irrevocably society. This is the only revolution. All others have their own transient and limited usefulness. I want my songs to convey an atmosphere of revolutionary piece and friendliness. My music grows in the fertile soil of Greek Music, classical music and the modern influences, all blended in a high personal style. I want “this herb” to fight the illness of sentimentalism, cosmopolitanism and artificial or unconscious cheerfulness and reaction."
